Roberto Enríquez Higueras, better known as Bob Pop, is a journalist, writer, screenwriter, and TV and radio contributor. Born on October 7, 1971, in Madrid, he is especially recognized for his sharp and engaged perspective, his LGTBIQ+ activism, and the public visibility gained following his 2019 disclosure of living with multiple sclerosis.
He began his career as a blogger in 2003 and has since contributed to media outlets such as Mongolia, 20 Minutos, Público, Vogue, Vanity Fair, Cadena SER, La Sexta, and La Marea, where he serves as Deputy Editor. On television, he became widely known as associate director and a regular contributor on En el aire and Late Motiv, both hosted by Andreu Buenafuente.

He made his literary debut in 1998 with the poetry collection De Cuerpo Presente, which he reissued in 2025. In 2010, he published the novel Mansos, followed by essay collections such as Cuando haces Bob ya no hay stop (2013), Un miércoles de enero (2018), and Como las grecas (2024). He has also released literary diaries, including Días ajenos (2017–18) and Días simétricos (2023).
In 2021, he created, wrote, starred in, and co-directed the autobiographical series Maricón Perdido (released internationally as Queer You Are), which premiered on TNT and HBO Max. The series won the Ondas Award for Best Comedy and a GLAAD Media Award for its bold portrayal of identity and the LGTBIQ+ community.
He has written and performed two theater pieces: the solo show Los Días Ajenos de Bob Pop (2018–2023), and, since 2024, he’s been touring nationally with Hablar No Sirve. De nada, where he shares the stage with Daniel Bayona.
He is currently a contributor to Hoy por Hoy on Cadena SER, where he also hosts an on-air advice segment. He co-directs Una Tarda Amb… with Candela Peña for TVE 2’s new channel in Catalonia, 2Cat.
His personal commitment has also led him to raise awareness about multiple sclerosis and collective resilience in the face of adversity. In his poetry collection De Cuerpo Presente, he reflects on his illness with both humor and sincerity, tracing a journey from darkness to light and resilience.
